Total sales for all stores in August 2011 amounted to 176,504 million yen, an increase of 112.3% year on year. Consolidated net sales for existing stores increased by 108.5 yoy. Average daily sales per store (all stores) amounted to 591 thousand yen. The average number of customers per store (existing stores) was 975, an increase of 100.3% yoy, and average sales per customer (existing stores) increased by 108.2% yoy, to 587 yen.(Figures were taken from a preliminary report)

Consolidated existing-store sales in the Tohoku region increased by over 17% yoy, driven by demand related to reconstruction following the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011.

Sales of cigarettes increased by approximately 130% yoy. Sales of other products were also robust, making strong gains from the previous year.

Sales in the rice and noodles category, dessert category and bakery category continued the sharp growth trajectory of the previous month, exceeding 100% yoy thanks to effective publicity and campaigns.

Sales in the over-the-counter fast food category significantly outperformed the previous year, largely thanks to increased sales of "Karaagekun Tasty Oita Nakatsu Salted Sauce", the third phase of a promotional campaign that was rolled out in conjunction with the Japan "KARAAGE" Association.

As of August 31, 2011, the LAWSON Group was comprised of 10,221 stores in Japan, including 91 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 1,127 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.

Existing store sales of Ninety-nine Plus Inc. amounted to 99.6% of the previous year (number of customers: 97.2%, sales per customer: 102.4%).

In August, Ninety-nine Plus Inc. operated 1,127 stores out of which 30 stores opened and no store closed .

Lawson is slated for an Autumn Rilakkuma Fair from September 13 to November 7, 2011.
