The sales result of LAWSON Business (LAWSON and NATURAL LAWSON) in July is as follows*1.
Existing-store sales (excluding ticket and gift card sales, etc.) increased 5.1% year on year over the same period and the average number of customers per store increased 3.5% and the average customer spend increased 1.5% year on year.
The Lawson Group operated 14,610 convenience stores in Japan at the end of July 2023, including 131 NATURAL LAWSON stores and 647 LAWSON STORE 100 stores.

<Sales situation>
・In rice products category, sales of the renewed rice balls were strong.
・In delicatessen category, especially sales of pasta salads were strong.
・In over-the-counter fast food products, sales of new “UMIKARA-KUN” products and “MACHI café” were strong. The cumulative total sales of the two types of “UMIKARA-KUN” products achieved 5 million meals in 19 days after its release.
・In “Machikado Chubo”, an in-store cooking service, the sales of the standard rice bowl type bento and the bento in which rice and side dishes were placed separately were strong.
・Sales of MUJI products, such as baked goods and cosmetics, etc., were strong.
・In cosmetics, sales of products jointly developed with a popular cosmetic brand were strong.
