There were media reports such as in The Nikkei this morning about the tender offer by Mitsubishi Corporation for shares of Lawson’s common stock and making Lawson a consolidated subsidiary by raising its ownership ratio from 33% to 51%. These reports were not based on an announcement made by Lawson, Inc.
We are in the process of studying a tender offer made by Mitsubishi Corporation for the purpose of making Lawson a consolidated subsidiary with a precondition of maintaining its listing of shares; however, nothing has been decided at this time.
Should any facts pertaining to this matter are decided, we will promptly make an announcement.
